The SolarEdge inverter takes care of DC to AC inversion and SolarEdge Power Optimisers fitted under each solar panel perform Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT), maintaining a fixed DC string voltage and optimising energy output. SolarEdge are also partnered with Tesla, so you can pair your solar edge inverter with the Tesla Powerwall for battery storage.

Fixed string voltage ensures 98% maximum operating efficiency at all times, regardless of string length and temperature, making them ideal for installation on roofs with shade and on multiple roof facings. Monitoring is via a web-based or iPhone app, and data is displayed on a virtual site map that can pinpoint specific locations, helping to reduce maintenance time and costs.

TESLA Powerwall Compatible with the StorEdge device

In order to provide battery management, the StorEdge device is required to work as an interface between the SolarEdge SE5000 and the TESLA Powerwall. Two applications are available; Optimising self consumption by increasing energy independence for homeowners by utilising a battery to store power and supply power as needed. To optimize self-consumption, the battery is automatically charged and discharged to meet consumption needs and reduce the amount of power purchased from the grid. Or, optimizing Self-Consumption + Backup Power where StorEdge can also automatically provide backup power to preselected loads when the household suffers from grid interruptions. A combination of PV and battery is used to power important loads such as the refrigerator, TV, lights and AC outlets, day or night.

SolarEdge has an office and tech support in Australia, and is supplied and installed by Keen 2B Green. The SolarEdge inverter comes with a 12 year warranty and the optimisers have a 25 year warranty.
